Dear Kahn Family,
It was such a blessing for us to have known Bubbie Skokie since the marriage of our daughter Elana to Michael.
Her personal warmth was contagious and she infused every interaction with love and affection. In particular, we will always remember her singing to the great grandchildren and teaching them Hebrew songs from her own childhood.
She was sincere , bright and caring . It is our privilege to have known her and learn from her generosity of spirit.
Wishing you fond memories as you remember and celebrate her legacy .

Dear Rena,
I am so deeply sorry for the loss of your beloved mother. You have been such a devoted and cherished friend to me since our college days that my heart aches for you and your family.
I just watched the video of your mother‘s funeral and I was so moved. You and your siblings spoke with such eloquence and love. It was a beautiful testament to the extraordinary woman she clearly was. You were truly blessed to have such an amazing mother. I will always remember how graciously she welcomed me into her warm and loving home when you came in from out of town. Her kindness extended so naturally to everyone around her. She also made a special effort to bring a smile to my mother’s face when she greeted her at Bnai Emunah in her senior social group, Sitting there with my mother during that program, listening and observing, I came to know your mother in a deeper way. It became so clear to me how special she truly was, and how blessed we both were to have known her. May her memory be for a blessing. With love and heartfelt sympathy, Eva Neidich

Gila, Rena & Ira - Sorry about the loss of your mom. She was a notable woman in our community in Skokie and at Skokie Valley Traditional Synagogue, in the 1960s & 70's as I remember her. Michelle- my condolences to you as well, but honestly I do not remember you as well as I do the rest of your family when the Khans lived down the street from us on Kimball. Reminiscing with my 93 year old mom a few days ago, she recalls being invited to your family Sukkah when you lived on Central Park (?). My mom Rebecca sends her condolences to your family as does my Brother Kenny (Moshe) who lives in Monsey, NY now. May your mother's memory be for a Blessing.
