What a privilege it has been to have such a beloved brother-in-law. He will be deeply missed on this side. May his kindness, warmth, and mischievous humor be wildly celebrated on the other. I like to imagine the sound waves of laughter reverberating from afar as he enters a joyous reunion.

The memory that remains most vivid for me is the envelopes — those absurd, extravagant titles scrawled in looping ink: “His Honor, Genie in the Sky, Right Reverend, Big Muckety-Muck, Supreme Mazda, High Standards and Low Blows, From Whom All Goodness Flows and Thunder Rolls…” They arrived every year, always different, addressed to each person he loved. It was his ritual of delight, his way of crowning ordinary birthdays with ceremony and laughter.

He had a gift for enlarging people — for making them feel both seen and playfully exalted. The world feels a little quieter without those envelopes in the mail.

May his memory be a blessing. Hugs to everyone.

I will always remember the joy on Norman’s face when he danced with everyone at family events.

And his amazing doodling skills…

Sincerest condolences on your loss of Norman who was always kind to everyone and ready to show a little humor- always smart but never a show-off about it. He enhanced our childhood. He left his mark with his unique personality... he will be missed.
