Gabrielle Beth Siegal, 49
Beloved Daughter of Jane Siegal and the late Paul Siegal. Cherished sister of Pete (Jennifer) Siegal and the late Matthew Siegal. Dear Aunt to Jacob Siegal and Ivy Siegal, whom she adored without limit. Gaby lit up every room she walked into. She loved her niece and nephew fiercely, and she had a gift for making the people around her feel completely seen. She was the kind of person who’d blast Bon Jovi with the windows down and never once cared who was watching, who could always be talked into one more order of Chinese food, and who never met a sunflower she didn’t love. Friends remember her laugh most of all — the kind that made ordinary nights, curled up by a fireplace or debating the latest reality TV drama, feel unforgettable. She made friends for life, the kind who stayed close for decades. Service Sunday, 10:00 AM at Chicago Jewish Funerals, 195 N. I will always remember the college roadtrip with Gaby and a group of friends. Gaby invited us up to Chicagoland. The long drive up to Chicago from Cincinnati flew by as we tried to solve the riddle, Why is a man dead in a field, naked and holding a straw? We played the game of Life boardgame and her mom gave us tickets to see the "Joseph and Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat". We enjoyed watching the livestream of the service from Ohio, it was lovely.

I’m just now seeing this! I remember a time during band rehearsal on campus that you, I and Jenn were getting lunch from McDonald’s on Calhoun and you noticed that someone left their drink on top of their car in front of us. It was impressive how long it stayed on their roof.

I enjoyed getting to know through band and in TBS. Rest in peace.

My beautiful Gaby,

I just learned about your passing, and for a moment, I couldn’t breathe. I was so incredibly blessed to have known you and to have worked with you. I am especially grateful that the last time I saw you, I had the chance to tell you once again how much I adored and appreciated you.

You taught me everything I needed to know at work, always with so much kindness and patience. I will always love you and remember you… until we see each other again.
