It is impossible to think of a world without Audrey. She loved life and had an infectious, joyous. super-fun spirit. I first met Audrey through her father Sheriff Elrod and it was immediately so clear that beyond the joy, she was deeply devoted to family, which extended beyond blood relatives to her many, many friends. She was a fierce protector of family, friends and her beliefs. She’ll still be protecting all of you. With extreme sorrow we pray for Audrey’s loved ones to find peace.

Devastated. My love and condolences go to Audrey's family and all our friends. What a beautiful soul. That smile. That laugh. The giggle. The "I'm up to no good" twinkle in her eye. Always knowing that when you hung with Audrey, something fun was going to happen. When I think of you, Audrey, I smile - what a wonderful legacy to leave us all. I'm devastated and my heart is broken. I can't imagine the world without Audrey in it. She was a bright light. Life was always more fun when shared with Audrey. I will miss her smile, her quick laugh, her wonderful sense of humor, her love of life, and sense of adventure. We lived together in college, and again in Chicago after grad school as well. She was in my wedding, and we have been friends for more than thirty years. Audrey loved her family and friends with all her heart, and she was loved by all who knew her. My heart breaks for her beautiful family - Marilyn, Stephen, Donna, Lauren, David and Tom. And to all her extended family and friends who loved her deeply. We are stunned and so very sad at the loss of Audrey. She was a generous and creative spirit, a true friend to so many, and a loving partner to Tom. It was clear that she brought much joy to so many people. Our prayers and thoughts are with her family and Tom.

I was so saddened to hear about Audrey's untimely death. I loved that woman - she was always glad to see me and always made me feel so welcome. A very bright light in this life has dimmed, but it is not gone - she will be remembered by all who knew her forever! I am so deeply sorry for your loss. Audrey was a beam of joy and positivity. I had the great pleasure of working with her over the years as she threw dynamic events at my buildings across Chicago. I always looked forward to seeing her because I knew that I would be greeted with a warm hug and smile that would automatically brighten my day. The world is a lesser place without Audrey, but I take comfort in that she lived a life so full of joy and love. May her memory be for a blessing.

In last three plus years I have the fortune of really getting to know and love Audrey whether we were at The Goldie Initiative event, COLBA event and many others or we were playing a game of pickleball! She was vibrant, fun, witty, silly and always had the biggest smile on her face. I looked forward to her competitive spirit and larger then life personality. I will deeply miss her.

Audrey was such an AWESOME person. She was always smiling and made you smile. She made you feel like you were the most important person in the world and was always so excited for you in whatever you were doing. A truly selfless person with the most energetic, positive spirit. Know that Audrey made an undeniable impact our family's lives and that we are better people for knowing her. We were so fortunate to FaceTimed with Audrey in early February and had such a fun conversation full of laughs. That's how we'll always remember Audrey...smiling and laughing. Audrey was my mother, Lynda's, best friend for almost 40 years. She was the first person to come meet me on the day I was born and I am so glad I got to know her as I grew up. Audrey was a confident, kind, and beautiful person, who had a way of making you feel special. I thank her for spreading her infectious joy and love to me and my family. Words cannot express how deeply sorry Steve and I are. We have so many fond Audrey memories- from doggy play dates, Hebrew school car pool (kids always loved when Audrey drove because half the time they would go to McDonalds instead), to seeing her smiling face and honking horn as she drove through the neighborhood - she will be missed by all!

My deepest condolences to Audrey's entire family. Her service was a beautiful tribute to the spark and warmth she shared with the many lives she touched. I was fortunate to know Audrey for years as part of the commercial real estate community, where she was truly family. She possessed so much energy, creativity and warmth and she connected with everyone she met. In the midst of running a large event, she'd always take time to greet you with a big hug and genuine interest in how you were doing. She clearly made a positive impact on so many people's lives-- we are all better for having shared her light. She will be dearly missed.

Few people could brighten a room like Audrey, and she would consistently lighten the spirits of those she encountered. It was nearly 40 years ago when I first met Audrey (while Steve and Donna were at Marina City), and ever since she added to the joy of the day. I hope that her memory remains a source of joy for her entire family. Prayers and good thoughts are with them.

Friends, I am so sorry you are forced to struggle with this terrible loss of Beautiful Audrey. When you recall someone who is a small but significant part of your life, it is usually remembered through visual snapshots. I was very fond of Audrey, as anyone who has ever met her. My visual memory is from pontoon to pontoon on Catfish lake with her beautifully mischievous smile as she held up a wine glass to toast from boat to boat. She always upped the quality of the experience at OJ and, although we haven't spent time at OJ together for the better part of a decade, it will never be the same. Another memory is running into her at a concert at the Holocaust Museum. It was a beautiful night but the crowd was a little tight, until I ran into Audrey. We had a great time together plotting how we can get into some mischief. I always operate better when I play the straight man to someone else's shenanigans. But on this night, Audrey and I were on the same page 100%. I know Im not alone in this type of memory of her. But man, I had hopped for more days like those with Audrey. I wish you all beautiful memories of this beautiful person. Robin and my hearts pour out to you.
