Rachel Brody , or better known to all the friends of Reid, Ivy, and Haim as Mrs. Brody or Mrs. B. I have known Mrs. Brody since kindergarten as Haim and I were best friends immediately right when we met. The Brody household was the house where all the kids came to hang out, play basketball, or eat. We loved coming here because it was a place we could be ourselves, never judged, and felt loved and comfortable... All because of Mrs. Brody and the love she displayed for everyone of us. She was someone that could goof around with all of us or I remember just sitting in her kitchen eating ice cream where she would listen to our problems. The sleepovers, the trouble we caused, she would always put up with us, made us feel like family, but more importantly always made us feel loved and special. Reid, Ivy, and Haim I am so sorry for your loss, she was truly one of a kind. The world lost a special special woman but heaven gained an angel. Mrs. Brody you will always have a special place in my heart, you will be missed by many. We all love you Jimmy

My first memory of Rachel was when my great aunt Rose and my mother brought me at age eight to the home on Warren Street. My aunt Rose said, "You will love your cousin Reidy. He has an electric train that talks." Rae was very pregnant with Haim and my mom had me lay hands on her abdomen and told me it was a blessing. My aunt Rose was prophetic and Reid and I have bonded as brothers ever since. Many summers thereafter I visited from Miami and experienced the happiest moments of my childhood. Rachel was the embodiment of the Sacred Feminine; in all thoughts and deeds a true tzaddeket. Her light touched so many. May her memory last for generations for we shall not see her kind again.
