Funeral Details

Dear Levitt family,
I am so sad to read about Dr Leonard Levitt BDE. He was my dermatologist in Chicago years ago. HE was such a wonderful, caring Dr. and mentch. Yaffa, his wife was my English teacher years ago as well. I have thought about this special couple throughout the years.
May Hashem comfort the entire Levitt family among all the other mourners of Isreal.

MEMMORIES FROM THE 1960S'
UncleL Lenny was the pride of our family. When we were kids we always looked up to him. He always utilized his time and never wasted a momment.: my uncle the lifegaurd at Rver park -the vendor at Wrigly fiekd - we would come very often to visit grandma and gramdpa. o"h when uncle Lenny was at home he was either mowing the lawn building a succah /that i have fond memories about from the 60 s and early 70 s -(we could hardly wait for succos to end so we could have a piece of apple pie that gramma made from those apples -not to mentin the prune jelly haman tashen for purim or the potatoe latkes for channukah or her famous blintzes spaghetti or mashed potatoes.)I remember uncleLenny learning chavrusa in kitzur shulchan aruch with grandpa o"h or studiing in his room .my uncle the genius the physacist the Dr...I would like to ask mechila for the hard time we kids gave him when he babysitted for us- but he was so fun to be with . He gave us all his collectins of baseball cards marbles and board games He had a great sence of humor.I remmember till this day funny sayings he made up and recorded on our new tape recorder about 60 years ago. Anyone could see what a loyal person he was to his friends and family from the way he spoke about them .He was a wonderful person and a loyal Jew. וַי לְהָאֵי שׁוּפְרָא דִבְלֵי בְּעַפְרָא
