Robin was a warrior with an indefatigable spirit and a hilarious sense of humor. I so loved being in her orbit. She embodied the phrase “carpe diem.” She will be sorely missed by all who were privileged to know her.

Ms. Robin was one of a kind. I have known her for over 25 years, half of my life. Coonley School was one of her first home as a school nurse, and I can truly say that she was my favorite School Nurse.

I am so sorry that we won’t be able to celebrate your 70th birthday the way you wanted, in the Dominican Republic. David and I would have been there with you.

I keep looking at your last text message to me from August 29: “Let me know when you can stop by, that you can use a Duncan Black.” That same day, I called and texted you, but you were too tired from your chemo session and told me, “Maybe next time.”

I am so sorry I didn’t get the chance to say goodbye, my friend. 💔

At least I can find comfort knowing that you are now at peace and free from pain. I know you touched so many people’s lives throughout your journey, and you definitely touched mine and David’s.

We will miss you so much, Ms. Robin. Until we meet again, know that you will always be loved and remembered. ❤️

With love,
Maribel and David.

Robin was such a bright light. She had a special energy and joy to life that was truly contagious. She always approached life with curiosity, an open mind, and a positive perspective.
She had a strong imprint on so many people in her life. Personally, she inspired me as a woman and mother, with her free spirit, creativity, incredible energy, and a huge heart. She had such a unique way of moving through life—so fully and authentically. I always admired that about her. She reminded me to embrace life, be yourself, and find joy in the things that make you who you are. To stay curious.
I feel so lucky to have known her and to have been inspired by her.
She will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Beautiful soul through and through. I’m sorry we had to say goodbye to someone who meant so much to so many people.

I have been best friends with Robin since 1980 when we met at Old Orchard Psychiatric Hospital. We joked that it sometimes was hard to convince people we met as staff and not as patients. Over the past 45 years Robin was, and will continue to be, one of the strongest most resilient people I've known. Her positivity, lunacy, cheerfulness, and essential goodness remains a model for my own life. My love & respect for Robin is everlasting.

Robin was my boss and hired me about 9 years ago to work as a school nurse. She was straightforward and no-nonsense, common sense and always kind to me. Robin: I have missed working under you, I am sad to think of you not being here with us, and I am saving a jar of my homemade elderberry jelly for you. 🌿🌼🌹

I met Robin when I joined BZ Day School when Nick was in 6th grade. She was a bright light, a wonderful friend and an amazing and brave mother. She brought love wherever she went. I am so sorry to hear her journey in this world has ended. For me, she will always be remembered with a great big smile on her face.

Nick, I am so sorry for your loss. Sorry you have to part ways with your mom so soon. She will be looking upon you with love from the heavens.

I loved Robin very much, and I am so sorry to hear of her passing. May her memory be a blessing.
Sending a big hug from far.

Robin was one of the warmest people I’ve had the good fortune of having in my life. Her fun stories, her infectious laugh and bright smile were so uniquely her. We loved when she would come over to Crystal’s house when we would visit Chicago and tell us about her travels or show us her paintings. Or she would talk about how proud a grandma she was. She and my mom were more than cousins, they were truly dear friends. My daughters and I will miss her tremendously and think of her always. Our love and condolences go out to Nick and his family during this difficult time. May Robin’s memory be a blessing.

I met Robin at a family event shortly after she began dating my cousin Greg. She was a very independent, intelligent, strong woman. I remember when she was expecting Nic, and the joy of his pending arrival gave her even more purpose and energy. Robin lived fully and was authentic. May her memory be a blessing.

I am so sorry to hear about Robin's passing.
I knew her for many years, especially many years ago when we worked together at Hartgrove hospital. Robin was a unique combination of dedication, competence, and a whole lot of fun. Robin had a unique appreciation for the humor in life, and made everyone's work day better. Her deep caring for the patients and commitment to quality care was a valuable contribution to all. She was a strong leader and evidenced her commitment to the values of her profession throughout her work. I am thankful for the many laughs that we shared. Her life was a blessing to many.

One of the things that Robin taught me was to see the positive side and forget the negative. It seems to me that is how Robin lived life. Robin, I will miss you much and think of you often.

Though I have not seen your mom in decades and I did not know her well, I liked her very much. We definitely connected as nurses and as moms of boys in the same Aidah. I wanted to reach out to offer my condolences. I know it is a profound loss. Made her memory be a blessing to you all the days of your life.
