My dear sweet Nora!!
You will be so missed by all.
We loved your humor, and how funny you were at times.
We will miss your creativity , that surpasses anyone’s ability.
So so talented !!!
I’m grateful to have been your friend, and will hold this dear to my heart,

I met Nora for the first time at her most difficult time in life. It was during that time I became so patient with her, because she would get so frustrated with not being able to fully state what was on her mind. I became her listener, her outlet, and her friend. When I would go in to work for my shift, we ALWAYS greeted each other with a smile and a big hug. I would always compliment her on how beautiful she looks and how beautifully she dressed. She would smile and says, "well, you know". She came to me for everything. I was someone that she felt very comfortable with, and someone she could trust. I am so happy I met her; to give her that comfort and love. She would say, " I love you, I love you, I love you". And I would say, "I love you too!" She will always remain in my heart.

Eleanor is such a truly loving person. Never a dull moment being with her, she literally filled the room with her smile and sense of humor. I could always count on her to be there for me. We met in 1974 and remained friends from then on. We both loved traveling and Eleanor particularly loved Paris and we shared our inside notes about our favorite places. From the disco days in Chicago, working together at Lettuce Entertainment, and shopping every week we always were all about the FUN. She was wise and compassionate and shared her child rearing knowledge with me later in life as we had girls a few years apart. So many great memories that I will reflect on forever. She was an artist, a painter , a mosaic creator, jazz dancer, creative dresser from our hippie days in the 70’s to her Anthropologie modeling career 💃🏽, poet, author, writer of clever, satirical trump jokes 😭, a loving Mimi, and dedicated loving mother who raised an incredible daughter. I will miss her forever and I will remember forever all the wonderful times we spent together. All my love from the bottom of my heart to Lori and Elliot, who cared for her with so much love, and Dick, and Francine. She’ll be forever missed.

Nora was a woman of many talents. She had a keen sense of style, both in how she dressed and how she decorated her homes. And boy did she know her antiques! She was a gifted artist who could draw, sketch, and paint. When she took classes at the Chicago Botanic Gardens, she was always the best in the class, often better than the teacher. Her note cards were snazzy and if she’d had a business/marketing partner, her cards could have been sold in gift shops and boutiques around the country. Her political cartoons were hilarious. She was also a talented floral designer, creating displays for various Chicago restaurants. She could take a scraggly bunch of wild flowers and effortlessly turn them into an artful bouquet. I knew Nora for 34 years, and met her because of the friendship of Richard and George Bailey, college roommates back in the day.

I love you and will miss you terribly. RIP. So sorry I couldn't see you more recently. You will always be in my heart. I have beautiful memories of us as children and adults. Sleep well.

I’ve known Eleanor since 4th grade…we went to Sunday School together. We lived in different suburbs but both went to New Trier and were great friends!She was one of my closest friends! We spent many nights sleeping over at each other’s houses… eating tons of popcorn and making “phony” phone calls..We talked on the phone every evening…
Through the years we lost touch but reconnected when she moved to Glenview. It was great to spend some time with her and we were able to pickup right where we had left off!
She was adorable and a true friend! She will be missed!

I know of Nora through her sister, Francine, who has been my friend and yearly travel buddy since 2019. On each and every trip, Francine would see something in a shop and say, "Nora would love this", then buy the item for her. I know Nora was an adored sister and will be missed by all. My sincere condolences to Nora's family and friends.

I met Nora over 50 years ago. Our daughters spent time together especially in their early childhood. We had fun going to swimming pools and beaches with our children. They went to each other’s birthday parties. Nora had a sense of humor and good advice about life situations. We had such a good laugh when Alex, Lori and Elliot ran into each other their first day touring Tokyo. It still makes me smile. Bye to the lovely Nora who I will always remember with fondness!!

Eleanor, as I knew Nora, changed my life. We met in Madison, at the university. She was the Crafts Committee Chairperson in the Student Union. I became a committee member and she taught me the ropes. When she graduated, she passed the baton to me. I loved it! And then, a little while later, Nora introduced me to Billy, her childhood friend. We hit it off, as she somehow just knew we would! We just celebrated 52 years of marriage. We are forever grateful to dear Nora.

She was quirky, funny and always there when I needed her

Oh Dear Nora,
What a light you were in all our lives. After your stroke, I missed talking to you every day. 50 years of friendship. After I surfaced, we talked almost every day for 20 years. I didn’t realize how lonely I would feel without you.
I hope wherever you are- you are dancing, joking and making that world a joyful place.
I wear the bracelets you gave me every time I am on stage. I will continue to do so. I just did a video to go with my Special and I talk about you and the bracelets in it.
You are always in my heart. I know you are with me.
