OBITUARY
Mitchell L. Goldblatt, 63, passed away unexpectedly in the early morning hours of June 13, 2025.
Beloved son of Herbert P. Goldblatt and Karen M. Goldblatt nee Markus. His parents meant the world to him, and even though they preceded him in death, their love and influence remained a constant presence in his life.
Dear brother of Jill (Dr. Maxim) Chasanov, a registered nurse. They were both a steady source of love, support, comfort, and guidance.
Cherished uncle of Chanel (Kyle), an attorney, Dior (Joseph), a medical administrator, David, a television news reporter, and Michael, a psychology doctorate student. He cherished the time he spent with his nieces and nephews, always eager for a good conversation or simply being together.
Mitchell and his family were very appreciative of the friendship and care from the family’s longtime caregiver, Aristotle.
Mitchell was a proud businessman in Chicago, managing several properties. He spent every day learning new things and surrounding himself with those he loved. He looked forward to every moment spent with family, especially during the Jewish holidays, which meant so much to him. He loved Sunday dinners with family as well as Sunday morning brunches. He also loved going to the temple for Shabbat. Mitchell cherished talking with his nieces and nephews and staying connected to his loved ones. He especially loved Thanksgiving and Passover, a time when family from all over would come together to share a meal and be with one another.
