Dear Chicagoland,

Dear Chicagoland,

21 years ago today, Chicago Jewish Funerals was created.  The mission was clear to me: to care for the deceased in a dignified and respectful manner; to comfort the mourner; and to always find a way to say “yes”.  It has been a journey that words cannot express, quite frankly it is too emotional for me.  I am proud of the establishment of the Michael I. Jacobson Memorial Gomle Fund that helps all the indigent Jewish individuals in our community receive a respectful Jewish funeral and burial.

I want to thank you, our community, for your support, trust and confidence.  I am humbled and honored that Chicago Jewish Funerals has been given the opportunity to serve.  I also want to thank all of the people that are associated with Chicago Jewish Funerals, for serving, helping, supporting and most of all, for caring for the families who have called upon us. It’s hard to believe it’s been this long.

May all of us be lucky enough to have health, peace and love in our lives.

And that’s The Way It Should Be!

David I. Jacobson
