Rabbi Paul Steinberg is a spiritual counselor at Beit T’Shuvah, an addiction treatment center. His book Recovery, the 12 Steps and Jewish Spirituality: Reclaiming Hope, Courage and Wholeness tells his personal struggles with addiction, as well as provides a comprehensive approach to integrating Jewish spirituality with the principles of Alcoholics Anonymous.
Judaism is a spirituality of renewal. So, too, is the process of addiction recovery. Tu b’Shevat, the Jewish “New Year of the Trees,” is an opportunity for integrating the lessons of nature with our spiritual growth.
If you are in recovery, have a loved one in recovery, or are a supporter of addiction recovery in the Jewish community, please join us for a participatory afternoon of redemption and renewal.
Our unique approach to the traditional Tu b’Shevat seder is an opportunity to integrate the lessons of nature with spiritual growth.
The Jewish Center for Addiction is a program of Jewish Child & Family Services and is made possible by a generous grant from the JF/JUF Fund for Innovation in Health funded by the Michael Reese Health Trust. JCFS is a partner with the Jewish United Fund in serving our community.
Sponsored by the Jewish Center on Addition at Jewish Child & Family Services
