Maurice "Mel" Crohn, age 92
Beloved husband of the late Charmaine. Loving father of Linda (Jonathan Shimberg) Crohn and Erica (James) Minchella. Devoted grandfather of Joanna (Derek), Jessica (Rob), Christopher (Rachael) and Andrea. Cherished great grandfather of Naomi, Emilia, Eli and Shulamit. Caring brother of Gloria Gray (Herb) Weissman and Gerald (the late Phyllis) Crohn. Longtime Companion of Shirley Homer. Mel was a CPA for 65 years and a WWII veteran. Service Monday 1PM at Chicago Jewish Funerals, 8851 Skokie Blvd (at Niles Center Road), Skokie. Interment Shalom. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Michael J. To Mel's family: My thoughts and prayers are with you. I was ao priviledged to have met and spent time with him. He was truly a gem and very bold in expressing his love for and pride in his family.
