Funeral Details

Susan and I extend our heart felt condolences to the Jelinek family. My mother, Gladys Garelick was a first cousin to Lenny and Ritchie. My grandmother, Jessie Goldberg was Lenny's aunt. I remember as a child coming to cousin Lenny's store, I believe it was called "Acorn" something near downtown Chicago. I believe his wife's name was Irma and both were at my first wedding that was in Oak Park in 1963. I now live in Indianapolis and Naples, Florida. Cousin Lenny may have been the last to pass of his generation. I last spoke to Lenny a couple of years ago. We were discussing his interest in the families oil holdings in East Texas.

A more loving and sweet-natured man didn't exist. He made everyone he knew feel that he cared about them. He asked about each family member and remembered who belonged to whom, especially family. It was my privilege to know him, love him and hopefully comfort him a little in his last hours. He will be greatly missed.
