OBITUARY

Harvey S. Dulin passed away on Saturday January 21, 2017 at the age of 83 leaving a legacy for his family and friends.

Harvey was born in Chicago on September 3, 1933. He married his one and only love, Sheila in 1954. They were married 63 years and raised 4 children. Sheila and Harvey’s love was a never-ending journey through a lifetime of marriage.

Harvey was a charming man full of compassion, dignity and integrity. He touched the life of many people with his grace, wisdom, and sense of humor. His passion for travel, art, classical music, and fine cuisine never exceeded his love for his family and friends. Harvey and Sheila were volunteers at the Art Institute of Chicago for many years and enjoyed the opera and summer evening concerts at Chicago’s Millennium Park. Harvey’s zeal for Chicago over several decades was recognized and honored by Mayor Richard M. Daley as an ambassador to the city. As an entrepreneur, Harvey created an innovative, industrial metals recycling business that expanded as a successful family company with the addition of his three sons.

He is survived and cherished by his wife Sheila, sons Marc, Jeffrey (Cathy), David (Suzanna), and daughter Lisé (Michael Rendina); his grandchildren Bryant, Danielle, Adrienne, Jacob, Joshua, Jason, Kevin, and Natalie. Harvey was the son of the late Seymour and Ida Dulin of Chicago and the brother of the late Larry Dulin and sister in- law Davida Dulin. His cousin Lester and wife Nicky, and sister and brother in-laws Marcia and Donny (Jacobs), are forever brothers and sisters. His family and friends will miss him dearly.
