As a person, she was a loyal friend, a loving sister and devoted daughter and granddaughter; she was very involved with a number of community organizations. It was with great shock that we learned of Joan's passing. Her vitality was inspiring and her company always amusing during our many forays into Boston restaurant life in recent years. We will miss her! Deepest sympathies to Arthur and Jane.
