Carla and I worked together at the AMA. She was brilliant! Sometimes it was scary because she could connect a string of ideas in a way that brought a higher meaning to everything she discussed. I am so glad that I had the opportunity to experience and appreciate her energy. Greg, Dalia, Ilana and Shira my thoughts are with you.

We are saddened to hear about your loss. Carla lived with us in Boston while she was obtaining her Phd. from Boston Univeristy. She became a dear friend that we enjoyed sharing our home and family events. She was always a willing and welcoming participant with a jovial and adventurous spirit. I recall that one time she even went camping with us. We were sad when Carla finished her studies in Boston and moved back to Chicago. We can empathize how sad your family is today having to let her go. Carla will remain a wonderful memory and someone we cherish to have known. Our best to your family and know that you are in our prayers.

Carla worked for me at the American Medical Association. She was passionate about her work and put a great deal of energy into every project she worked on. Carla was also a social catalyst who helped staff get to know one another better and form stronger bonds. I am glad to have had the opportunity to know and work with Carla. I would like to offer my deepest sympathy to her husband and children.

I am so saddened to hear that Carla is gone. I know how her spirit and smile could light up a room and how her humor could warm peoples hearts. I consider myself lucky to have known her even if for just a few short years. My heart goes out to her wonderful girls, Dalia, Ilana and Shira. My thought and prayers are with you and Gregg.
