I only know Dr. Havdala through his daughter, Ellen. He must have been a wonderful father to raise someone with such a beautiful heart. My prayers and thoughts are with your family.

I had the honor to work with Dr Havdala for many years at Mt Sinai Hospital as part of the team headed by Dr Havdala in helping soviet Jews in Fullfilling their desire of having the mitzvah of bris. A mission that he resolved to accomplish with great pride and honor. When I was asked to perform this mitzvah for his grandchildren it was an ultimate honor for me. Let his soul be bound for eternity among the souls that get the privilege to bask in heaven next to those that sought to honor God with his service
