Alfred May, age 90

Formerly of St. Louis Park, MN, died April 12 in Chicago. Beloved husband of the late Ruth nee Fremont. Loving father of Theodore J. (Kristine) May and Emily (the late Paul) Haberkamp. Cherished grandfather of Ethan, Taylor, Jared, and Anneliese. Dear brother of Lois (the late Herbert) Goodman. A WWII veteran, Al served in the Pacific Theater in the Army Air Corps. He was a research scientist for Pillsbury, an adjunct professor at the University of Minnesota, a Big Brother, and an avid astronomer. Al always enjoyed a good joke and everything that his wife cooked. Graveside services Thursday, 10:30 am at Temple Israel Memorial Park Cemetery, 4153 3rd Ave South, Minneapolis, MN. A Memorial service to be held in Chicago at a later date.In lieu of flowers, memorials in his memory to the ACLU, 180 North Michigan Ave., Suite 2300, Chicago, IL 60601 or the Museum of Science & Industry, 5700 South Lake Shore Drive, Chicago, IL 60637 would be appreciated.
