Funeral Details

Ruthe Banes Majestic passed away peacefully on Monday, June 20 at the age of 90 with her children by her side. She lived a long, loving life gathering her family together for holidays, cooking her specialties, and crocheting afghans endlessly. She is survived by her loving children Diane (Peter) Kretschmer, Ronald (Debbie Russo) Majestic and Jeffrey (Patti) Majestic and her brother Lenny Banes. Longtime beloved companion of Norman Gibons. She cherished her grandchildren Michael, Nicole, Brian, Jonathan, Alexandra, Lauren, and John, and was devoted to her great-grandchildren Caitlin, Ryder, Mattias, Anna, Maxwell, and Sebastian. She will be missed by so many others for whom she was a second mother. Services will be held Wednesday, 11am at Chicago Jewish Funerals, 195 N. Buffalo Grove Road, (one block North of Lake Cook Rd.) Buffalo Grove. Interment will follow at Shalom Cemetery.
