Dear Sandy, Brian, Patti,
We are so shocked and so saddened at Matts passing. Too young, too soon. We are family and we will share in your grieving. It is so important that we stay in touch. Now more than ever.

Matt was one of my best friends in grade school. He was a precociously creative, imaginative, and talented guy with a sardonic sense of humor. By my memory, he was able to imagine and describe incredibly detailed narrative scenarios (that we also implemented at playtime), imbued by complex emotional histories, objectives, and purpose.

He wrote his first play when he was in third grade, sang beautifully, and approached life with an independent spirit. We hadn't been in touch since early high school, but I'll remember our many sleepovers, discussions, pizza nights, and video game sessions.

He was an intense and immensely talented guy.

Best wishes to his family.

With Kind Regards,

Josh Shepperd

Matt was my coworker a few years ago. He was extremely witty and made me laugh frequently. I'm really shocked and saddened to learn of his death. May he rest in peace.
