OBITUARY

Gladys Lifton Wolff, 97, passed away Friday evening after a long illness. She was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Hilburt Wolff, and her beloved brothers, Robert B. Lifton (Carol Rosofsky) and Lloyd Lifton. Gladys was the mother of Jan Wolff Bensdorf (Jim) and Eric Wolff (Dorothy), grandmother of Naomi Bensdorf Frisch (Aaron), Ethan Bensdorf (Matthias Pintscher), Woody and Noah Wolff, and great grandma Gladys to Elise Frisch. Her relationship with Vinna was particularly meaningful for her in the last years of her life. She loved music of all kinds, particularly opera. She was a long time member of the board of Chicago Opera Theater. She could frequently be found in her regular seats at a Chicago Symphony Orchestra concert or a Lyric Opera performance. She imparted this love of music to her children and grandchildren. Trained as a teacher, in later years she participated in the WITS program at Jenner School. Memorial Services will be held at a later date. For service information, please contact Chicago Jewish Funerals. Contributions to Chicago Opera Theater, 70 E.
