We had some good talks in Jewish contexts, on the Walk with Israel and delivering Maot Chitim with our families. A devoted, down-to-earth man.

I was a neighbor of the Puchowitz family growing up, and my brothers used to play with Alan as kids! My oldest brother went to school w/ Alan, and my other brother w/ Debbie. I just found out about Alan, and even though it is already October, I wanted to extend my deepest condolences. My entire family is deeply saddened and our thoughts are with you.

My deepest sympathies. I've gotten to know Alan over the past few years - sharing a joke over a beer - always a good time - he will be missed.

Alan - I remember having coffee with you one evening and you were just beaming. You told me that you met the most wonderful girl. As you were talking about her the light in your eyes got brighter and I could not keep from laughing that I went to college with this wonderful girl. I am sorry that we did not stay in touch. I have talked with your wonderful girl a few times over the years and it was painful to hear how much you were suffering. For this I am glad it is over. Watch over her, your sons, and all of us. Love much.
